The whole week was a fantastic experience with such inspirational teachers, giving us a great insight into life in the company. Learning such a variety of repertoire was particularly enjoyable and the week will certainly be a memorable one for me. Love from, Laura

It was an absolutely phenomenal experience to learn and dance the grand pas de deux from Sleeping Beauty with Jonny and Gary; something I’ve only ever dreamt of doing. Both of them were so complimentary and encouraging…
…I adored learning the first entrance of the Swans with Vanessa – I’ve always wanted to learn how to “be” a Swan, and Vanessa explained in great detail how the simple use of the eyes and head conveyed the necessary feelings to the audience….
…Finally I would like to thank you Francesca, for your wonderful enthusiasm and encouragement. Your enjoyment is infectious and I can’t help but perform in your classes and have fun – I love them! Thank you for giving me so much pleasure!

Thank you so much for all the effort you have put into organising this year’s summer school. I have learnt so many new things and met so many wonderful people. Thank you for making that all possible. I feel really privileged to have worked in Sadler’s Wells Theatre and at the Royal Opera House and to have been taught by so many wonderful dancers. I’ve had such fun!

You provided us with such incredible opportunities and experiences, it always is so successful and this year it was brilliant. It was so exciting being at Sadler’s Wells and being taught by such amazing teachers. I felt so privileged to be asked to do so many wonderful dances for the performance, and it was so exciting to do it in front of everyone (and oh my goodness Monica Mason!!!). You and your Mum work so hard and it is truly amazing how on top of your extremely busy life you manage to organise and achieve such an exciting, challenging and exhilarating summer school. I couldn’t imagine my summers without The Wells and I loved every minute of it.

The proximity to professional life is such an important experience and, whilst none I am sure shied away from the rigours, it certainly brought the reality into their realms.

To create and produce such an important summer school I know takes so much energy, time etc. but you have created for the UK a rather unique summer school. It is brilliant, and plays a significant role in the training of our future dancers.
